About Bean

Bean: AAC & Communication is provided by Gorse Bush Studios LLC. It is a picture communication tool designed for use by young children with a parent or caregiver. Vocabulary, photos, recordings, and settings can be personalized on your device.

Purchase and availability

Bean is being prepared for its first release as a one-time paid download, with no subscription or in-app purchases. The price and availability will be shown in your local App Store. Apple handles payments and refund requests under its policies.

Personal photos and recordings

You retain your rights in photos, recordings, and other content you add. Only use content you own or have permission to use, including permission from other people whose photos or voices you record. Bean saves this content locally; adding it to Bean does not transfer ownership to Gorse Bush Studios.

Choosing a communication tool

Bean does not diagnose, assess, or treat speech, language, or other medical conditions. Its vocabulary and features may not meet every communication need. A speech-language professional can help you choose an appropriate tool and vocabulary for your child.

Devices and local data

Bean requires iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. System voices and optional Apple features vary by device, software, and region. Deleting the app can remove your local content; device backups are managed through your Apple settings. See the Bean privacy policy for more information.
